Field recording from a hilltop backyard in los angeles overlooking the highland park neighborhood. Sounds range from the natural to urban, including the ice cream man, traffic, light rail, and a plane. Recorded 24bit stereo, downsampled to 16bit.

A little bird started singing on a fence next to my window and i started imitating him with my stones of skiddaw midi player, added in an accompaniment. I've had this saved for a while, and haven't really done anything with it (yet). How it was made: i took an old music box i got for christmas a few years ago, recorded it (obviously), slowed it down a little bit (it originally plays in g, now it plays in g-flat), and added reverb. The reverb plugin i use is called ambience. (it's really frickin' good. ).

Recorded with a sm57 and quality preamp.
